Meagan Phelan

Meagan has 20 years of experience working with people of all ages, particularly youth, with a range of mental health difficulties. With a passion for bringing out the best in people, Meagan is client-centred, strengths-based, and collaborative in working towards changing the patterns that can interfere with daily life. Connecting with the person behind the symptoms and issues is central.
She has worked with high prevalence disorders such as anxiety and depression, as well as personality issues, trauma, psychosis, grief, substance use, perfectionism, exam stress, bullying, and adjustment issues.
Meagan’s therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness. Nutritional psychology and integrative medicine are also of particular interest to her holistic approach.
